Wireless Theatre KIDS is the sister website of The Wireless Theatre Company. A multi award winning online audio theatre company who launched in 2007, producing original audio drama, comedy, sketches, stories and more to be downloaded from the website to listener's iPods. The aim is to keep audio drama alive through the popularity of downloading through the internet. 

Very quickly The Wireless Theatre Company secured a strong following (over 3 million hits a year) and an impressive reputation as one of the best online audio theatre companies - working with respected performers such as Prunella Scales, Timothy West, Nicholas Parsons, Ray Galton, Richard O'Brien, Julian Glover, Lionel Blair, Abi Titmuss, Mary Tamm and more, as well as hundreds of talented actors and writers. 

In 2008 The Wireless Theatre Company launched their Wireless Theatre In Education scheme, offering workshops in schools to teach young people the joys of audio theatre. It was these workshops which prompted the development of Wireless Theatre KIDS. 

Sadly, much funding has been withdrawn from children's radio drama companies, and this is where we can step in. By producing great quality children's audio downloads, in a vast range of genres and age ranges, we can keep radio drama alive and help young people to use their imaginations, as well as watching TV or playing video games. We have a great production team who always consult as many parents and teachers as posssible while recording the plays and we are all passionate about keeping radio drama prominent in children's lives and education.
