Audio Plays for Entertainment

Wireless Theatre Kids aim to enhance, stimulate and touch the minds and hearts of children from many diverse cultures and countries through the use of radio drama. 

You may think that radio drama is old fashioned, or that the days of the whole family sitting around the wireless listening to a play are over. But there is no reason why they should be!? The invention of the internet has opened a whole new world for radio drama. Our children are the next generation of web-developers, and there is still a place for radio drama here. A new place.

If young people are so keen to download music to entertain them as they go to school, why not some radio plays too?  If your little one won't go to bed without a story, why not listen to a radio play with them? Why not read along while they listen? Our plays are all performed by lively, talented actors and use the most catchy and modern music.

Computer games and 3D movies are amazing - really thrilling and exciting, and we're big fans! But there are times when calm is needed - and radio plays are great for that.

Our goal is to develop a love of theatre and literature within those aged 3 to 15 years, to develop communication and vocabulary and stimulate imagination and creativity. We also hope to help those who may struggle with the written word, or may not have access to reading material by bringing them a comprehensive library of audio material.

As with The Wireless Theatre Company - our first website, We aspire to play host to writers new and old, whether they be the creators of traditional tales, modern classics, contemporary poetry or cutting-edge children’s drama.

We are brand new, and while we have tried to launch with as much range as possible, you will find some sections are a bit lacking. Don't worry though, we're working away behind the scenes to record as much exciting new radio drama for all ages as possible, and get it online quper quick!
